Production Description
Weld olet, a type of integrally reinforced forged olet fitting used to create a 90-degree branch connection from a larger run (header) pipe to a smaller branch pipe.
Our Olets are forged from premium billets and precision-machined to ensure a perfect fit between the run pipe and the branch pipe, significantly reducing stress concentration in high-pressure and high-temperature environments.
Pipe branch fittings are used to create integrally reinforced connections from a run pipe (header pipe) to an outlet pipe, at 45 or 90 degrees, alternatively to connections made with buttweld tees, reinforcing pads, and saddles. This type of forged fittings is otherwise called “branch connections”, or “branch fittings”, or “pipe branch outlet fittings” or, simply, “Olets”.

Material Grades & Standards
We offer Olet fittings in a variety of high-performance materials to suit different corrosive environments and temperature requirements:
| Material Category | Common Grades | Standard Specification |
| Carbon Steel | ASTM A105, A105N, A350 LF2, A694 F42/F52/F60/F65 | MSS SP-97, ASME B16.11 |
| Stainless Steel | ASTM A182 F304/304L, F316/316L, F321, F347 | MSS SP-97, ASME B16.11 |
| Alloy Steel | ASTM A182 F5, F9, F11, F22, F91 | MSS SP-97, ASME B16.11 |

Main Product Categories
1. Weld olet (Welded O-let)
The Weldolet is the most widely used branch connection. It is designed to be butt-welded onto the outlet pipe.
Design: Features a beveled end for a seamless butt-weld connection.
Advantages: Minimizes stress concentration and provides total reinforcement.
Applications: Ideal for high-pressure systems where a high-strength, permanent joint is required.

2. Sock olet (Socket O-let)
The Sockolet utilizes the same basic design as the Weldolet but features a socket weld outlet to connect to the branch pipe.
Design: Includes a recessed socket (ASME B16.11) to seat the pipe before fillet welding.
Advantages: Easier alignment for small-bore piping; eliminates the need for pipe end preparation.
Pressure Classes: Available in Class 3000# and 6000#.

3. Thread olet (Thread O-let)
The Threadolet is designed for threaded branch connections, allowing for easy installation of valves or instruments without additional welding on the branch side.
Design: Internally threaded outlet (NPT or BSPT) per ASME B1.20.1.
Advantages: High-strength forged body provides much higher integrity than a standard threaded tee or half coupling.
Applications: Low-pressure utility lines, instrumentation, and sampling points.
