However, if forming occurs above 980°C, we perform a full annealing, normalizing, or normalizing and tempering cycle to ensure the material isn’t brittle. - Specialized Large Diameter Controls
For fittings over NPS 12, we maintain strict chemistry controls. Our elbows and tees in this size range feature a carbon content of less than 0.26%, ensuring superior weldability for field installations. - Cold Forming and Stress Relief
Any cold-formed fittings (processed below 620°C) undergo normalizing or stress-relieving at temperatures between 595°C and 690°C. This prevents internal stresses from compromising the pipe’s lifespan. - Fusion Welding Excellence
For fittings produced via fusion welding with a wall thickness over 19mm (3/4 in), Rayoung performs Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) to guarantee the heat-affected zone (HAZ) is as strong as the parent metal.
