What is a blind flange?

The blind flange is a plate that attaches to a pipe end to block off the pipeline and provides easy access for cleaning, inspection, and modification. They have the same function with pipe plugs and caps, but it is detachable. It is connected to a flange or flange fittings by bolting with a gasket between them to provide a seal. And should be placed where isolation is needed, such as the nozzle of a device, before or after a shut-off valve, or between two flanges.
